As my study abroad program comes to a close I enter the next week with a sadness that isn’t quite having to say goodbye to Paris yet, but having to say goodbye to the amazing friends i’ve earned through this experience. This month has brought me closer to these people than I could have dreamed it would. We took turns navigating, some of us better than others. We spent our free time drinking and playing guessing games. We immersed ourselves in culture —but also the local bar scene. This past month — if anything— has been balanced. Balanced between French food and Asian food. Balanced between history and art. Balanced between tourist and local. Its safe to say we did it all (or at least it feels like we did.) So much about traveling for me is the people I am surrounded by and I got so lucky with my perfect group. To my people: Thanks for the escargot and the baby bottles. Thanks for the boats and the bikes. Thanks for the never ending movie references to make me laugh in the quietest churches in Paris. Thanks for taking 500 candids every time. Thanks for being Tonto (the navigator) when you took away my privileges to navigate. Thank you for letting me drag you to the art museums. Thanks for the fireworks, the parades, the fountain climbing, the pho, and the memories.

Thanks to you guys, I now get to share our experiences with my best friend with the smallest bit of pretension as I get around the city with ease.

Stay real

xoxo GossipAllie
